- graduated from 2 year surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois 1980-1982 and was the first women ever to become a Chief Resident in a surgical residency and any other Podiatric Surgical Residency at that time
- Is Board Certified since 1988 in Foot And Ankle Surgery from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery
- Was recertified in 1997
- Fellow of the American College of Foot And Ankle Surgeons
