Dr. Judith E. Rubin, DPM
Podiatrist, Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Judith Rubin opened the doors to the Foot Wellness Center in 1982 in Northwest Houston and has since proudly served the residents of the Greater Houston Area.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to obtain her Podiatric Medical degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine/Temple Medical School in Philadelphia, PA, graduating with top honors. Her impressive acedemic career earned her a 2 year surgical residency in Chicago, where she became the first woman ever to become a chief resident at a surgical program.
As she began her practice in Houston, TX, she continued to excel. In 1988, she became board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and maintains that certification regularly. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and holds a reputable status with both the state and national Podiatric Medical Associations.
Dr. Rubin combines her many years of experience, her certification as a wellness educator, and today's latest advancements, to expertly and efficiently treat all ailments of the foot and ankle. She provides to everyone of her patients a well rounded treatment regimen to get them back on their feet as quickly and safely as possible.
Off duty, Judith is an award winning needle pointer and has designed jewelry for the past 30 years. She is a mother of two beautiful children who are her pride and joy.
Dr. Amr El-Khashab, DPM
Podiatrist, Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Amr El-Khashab joined Dr. Rubin at the Foot Wellness Center in 2017. He is a proud Houstonian, and after spending the last seven years practicing in New York City, he is happy to be back and serving his hometown.
Dr. El-Khashab completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University. He then earned his podiatric medical degree at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine/Rosalind Franklin School of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to New York City, Dr. El-Khashab went on to complete an intensive three-year medical and reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency program at Interfaith Medical Center. It was there where he earned the honor of being chief resident before furthering his training with a one year fellowship. He has and continues to perform a vast array of surgical procedures and has trained extensively with other specialties such as orthopedics, pediatrics, vascular surgery, and plastic surgery.
After several years of private practice and teaching at various New York hospitals, Dr. El-Khashab decided to head back to Texas with his family. He has been a welcome asset ever since. His diverse background of experience provides him with ample expertise, and allows him to devise well-rounded treatment plans for his patients.
Dr. El-Khashab is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is an an associate of the American College of foot and ankle Surgeons. He is an active member of The American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
Outside of the white coat, Amr enjoys pick up soccer, experimenting in the kitchen, and most of all, spending time with his growing family.
The Office Staff
Our remarkable office staff consists of an R.N., a Certified Medical Coder, Certified Podiatric Medical Assistants, and a Receptionist. Most of our staff has been with the practice for over 25 years and they continue to fulfill our patient's needs with compassion and excellence.
